I nearly plotzed when I read that some of these adorable leading men color their hair so that their gray doesn't show. Apparently the double standard about aging is starting to crumble. Wouldn't it just be nice if society would let men and women grow old gracefully and naturally already?

Yikes: We Put Hundreds of Chemicals on Our Bodies Each Day

Earlier this year, I asked you to estimate the cost of all the beauty products you wear each day. Some hovered around the very inexpensive $10 range, while others danced around $1,000. However many beauty items you put on daily, have you ever stopped to think about how many chemicals this equates? Research from Bionsen, company that manufactures natural deodorant, concluded that, on average, women put 515 different synthetics on their bodies daily. Some common products mentioned include: shampoo (15), hairspray (11), blush (16), eye shadow (26), foundation (24), lipstick (33), deodorant (15), lotion (32), self-tanner (22), nail polish (31), and perfume (250). 21 Hair and Makeup Looks You WON'T Be Wearing Come Spring

From the runways onto department and drugstore shelves, I'm sure we'll see lots of fresh new makeup options and application techniques go full circle come March. Last month in New York, we saw six very wearable trends emerge, from peach lips to bold eyeliner to heavy-handed under-the-eye liners. But throughout the course of New York Fashion Week and other Spring 2010 shows, including Paris, London, and Milan, there were other looks that won't quite make the transition. Take this sequin forehead heart-shaped applique, for instance - straight from the Ungaro show in Paris, for which Lindsay Lohan acted as artistic adviser. While I appreciate each and every designer's artistic flair, some looks just won't translate to real life. See what I mean now.

Beauty Mark It! Recession Obsessions

After last week's challenge where I asked you to "get your splurge on," I thought it would be fun to do the exact opposite and honor these times we call recession. So for this week's challenge, it's all pinching pennies; I'm talking products under $10.

I'll start you off with the cult favorite, Smith's Rosebud Salve. It's the perfect choice as it retails for $6 and can be used for multiple purposes: chapped lips, minor burns, dry skin, it can even treat diaper rash. That's how I'm going to spend my hard-earned cash, how about you?

Rose Lip Balms Rule!

Which Eye Makeup Look Do You Prefer on Taylor Momsen?

Taylor Momsen has been getting increasingly mall punk with her smoky eye makeup lately, as you can see from her pic at the premiere of The Stepfather last night. While I'm impressed that she manages to wear it without getting it all over the place and looking like a raccoon (or Robert Smith, for that matter), I don't know that I like it better than her fresh-faced look from early this year. What do you think? Does every teenager deserve a little grown-up drama once in a while, or is something more subtle better on her features?
