Lipstick marks are a recreational hazard of playing with makeup. I'm forever leaving traces of lip gloss and lipstick on the edges of soda cans, espresso cups, wine glasses, and any other drinking vessel imaginable. One of my friends avoids getting it on her glassware, but somehow always gets it in her hair.

But with the warm weather still going strong, it looks like bright, fun colors haven't fallen by the wayside just yet. After catching a glimpse of Kim Kardashian wearing vivid, bubble-gum pink a few days ago, I was reminded of other ladies sporting some seriously pink nails in recent weeks.

Seeing Megan Fox wearing this deep merlot lip at Comic-Con the other day got me thinking: would you ever wear dark lips in summer? Dark shades, especially wine and berry hues, are such an cold-weather thing for me that seeing them on people during the warm months is quite a surprise.
