The last couple of days have been some of the most experimental of the week. If you've seen the makeup and hair at Marc Jacobs's runway show you know what I'm talking about. While I'm excited to see designers innovating, I'd also like to showcase looks that are achievable without a team of brilliant makeup artists present. Badgley Mischka The Fragrance

Badgley Mischka The Fragrance is a rich, romantic and feminine scent inspired by 1940's Hollywood style-much like the designers' fashion and design philosophy. In a press release, Mark Badgley says, "It's going to be sexy and glamorous and a logical extension of our brand."

The scent has notes of red wild berries, fresh peach and cassis, osmanthus, peony, jasmine, caramel, amber, patchouli, sandalwood and musk.

The bottle has a luxurious, vintage style that would look stunning displayed on my new Venetian Glass Vanity! It's made from cut glass and filled with a deep amber liquid. The cap is accented with a silver bezel and is engraved with a classy Badgley Mischka name plate.

The Eau de Parfum Collection includes three different size sprays: one ounce ($45), 1.7 ounce ($65 ) and 3.4 ounce ($90) as well as a 6.8 oz body lotion ($42). What do you think?

Beauty Byte: Alberta Ferretti to Launch Beauty Line

Elizabeth Arden has snagged fashion giant Alberta Ferretti as its latest high-profile partner. Fashion Week Daily reports that Ferretti will join the rapidly growing list of fashion designers who have licensed their names for the use on skincare, cosmetics, and fragrance lines.

The line will debut with a fragrance in spring 2009, with skincare and makeup to follow. The details of the products themselves are still under wraps, but it is targeted towards a women who "lives in the present yet looks to the future."

A little vague, but I think we can expect Ferretti to maintain the same levels of excellence with the line as she does with her fashion house. One thing's for sure: it promises to be a lucrative partnership for Ferretti, based on the success of Arden's other licensced lines, which include wildly popular fragrances by Badgley Mischka and Nanette Lepore, among others. Judging by her gorgeous clothing collections, it's likely that Ferretti could turn out an equally lovely product line, don't you think?

How To: Get Elisabeth Röhm's Red Carpet Look

On Monday evening, Elisabeth Röhm showed up on the red carpet for the Badgley Mischka Campaign Launch Party wearing a beautiful black strapless beaded cocktail dress and her hair coiffed neatly and elegantly into a sleek, tight bun.

In case you aren't familiar with her, Elisabeth is best known for playing Serena Southerly, Assistant District Attorney on Law & Order from 2001 to 2005.

I've been lucky enough to score a step-by-step guide from Frédéric Fekkai hair stylist Liz Ferguson on how to create this 'do. Want to know more? For a full list of products and instructions, read more

Step 1: Apply Frédéric Fekkai Men’s Grooming Clay ($18.50) to manage flyaways and keep hair smooth and sleek. Next, tease hair at the crown to give it a little bit of volume.
Step 2: Pull all of hair back into a tight ponytail using an elastic band (the kind with two hooks at the end). Hook one end into the middle of the ponytail and hook the other end into the ponytail once you’ve wrapped it around until you get it really tight. This band holds a ponytail much tighter than a normal rubber band. Hold the bun in place with a few hair pins.
Step 3: Grab a piece of hair and wrap around the elastic band to cover it. Hold in place with a hair pin.
Step 4: If your hair is slightly past your shoulders, take small pieces of the ponytail and twist them around over the ponytail to create a bun and fasten with hair pins.
Step 5: When you are finished, generously mist your head with Frédéric Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray to hold the style. Lastly, add a little bit of Frédéric Fekkai Glossing Sheer Mist for a little bit of shine.
