The much-buzzed-about Kai products, like most other scents, are definitely a love-it-or-hate-it kind of deal. While I remain a bit on the fence with the popular scent, others love it, like reader GLB67. Here's what she had to say about the Kai Body Lotion ($33):

I bought this about a year ago and was a bit put off by the gardenia scent. [But then,] I ran out of lotion and thought I should just use this, and I am glad I did. It is very moisturizing, and the scent is so pretty especially after it has been on me for about 20 minutes. The scent lasts a long time. I will definitely repurchase.

Jergens's Skin Smoothing Cellular Renewal Moisturizer ($4.50) has exfoliating beads, along with natural fruit acids and hydrators. It sounds like a great Summer essential to me. But, does reader Nycbeauy9349 like the results this multitasking lotion gives? Find out below:

I'm so obsessed with this Jergen's lotion. I honestly would choose this over any other lotion were price not an option. But, hey, I won't complain that it is under 10 bucks. It goes on even and soaks right into your skin. My skin never feels dry throughout the day and I usually reapply at night before bed.The beads seem to do their thing because it really gives my skin a nice glow and even texture. Great find!

I don't know about you, but I don't like my moisturizers to be overly scented. And that's one of the reasons why reader Stef42678 thinks Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 15 ($10) is a great moisturizer. Take it away, Stef:

I really love using this moisturizer when I have dry and cracked skin because it is instant relief. It has a light smell and really makes my skin feel soft and hydrated. I like that it is made with natural ingredients and doesn't feel heavy or greasy.

When I saw that Superstar2780 had reviewed Gold Bond Medicated Body Lotion ($10) I had to chuckle. Mainly because Mr. Bella loves his Gold Bond Medicated Powder a lot. That, and the commercials make me laugh for some reason. Curious to learn more about what Superstar2780 has to say about this lotion? Here you go:

"Gold Bond makes some serious products, and this lotion is not for the faint of heart! My skin is like the desert - super dry, sensitive, itchy, flaky. During the winter, this is the only lotion that works for me. It has a thick, creamy consistency that absorbs without feeling greasy, and because it's medicated, it has a nice cooling effect that really soothes and hydrates itchy, dry skin. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because of the scent, which I can only describe as 'medicinal mint', kind of like Vapo-Rub. I can only use this lotion before bedtime, so it doesn't compete with the fragrance I wear during the day. But it really works and it's long-lasting, so I'd recommend giving it a try."

This is my favorite lotion. I usually use the formula for extra-dry skin in the Winter and it really works on all my areas of dry skin. I apply in the morning after I shower and don't need to worry about reapplying until the next day. It also adds a touch of shimmer, which I love!

Satisfy a Sweet Tooth With Dylan's Candy Bar

With all the sweetness I'd expect from famed sugar shop Dylan's Candy Bar, the new Re-Treat bath and body line included some mouth-watering flavors that made me think dessert. Yet most of the time, I'd rather eat dessert than smell like it.

However, I was pleasantly surprised. Of the four products I tested, my favorite was this Coconut Bon Bon Candy Butter Cream. Compared to the Body Smoothie Lotion in the same scent, the application process went, well, smoother. The lotion was very liquidy and took a long time to rub into my skin – maybe I just got overly zealous with the amount – but the ingredients of this tub blended right in and didn't leave my skin feeling greasy at all.

While a whiff straight from the container nearly put me in sugar shock, on my skin it didn't linger and overpower. In fact, I sniffed my arm periodically (surreptitiously . . . I don't want to look crazy) and by the end of the day, the scent was a barely discernible, pleasant odor, but my dry skin was still super smooth, probably because of the shea butter high on the ingredient list.

So can I see myself falling in love with the scent and using it every day? Maybe not. But can I picture it as a present for someone who loves dessert or enjoys the very fun flavors (um, I mean scents) of the equally saccharine Philosophy line? Most definitely.

2008 seems to be the year of the "green"-themed beauty products, and I couldn't be happier. The latest launch: a collection of four new body lotions called Jergens Naturals Daily Moisturizers ($8.49). What makes them stand out from the brand's other products is that they are made from 92–93 percent plant-derived ingredients.

I don't know about you, but there's something that just makes me feel better knowing that the ingredients are made from good-for-you vegetables. I've tried all four lotions: Hydrate, Renew, Soothe, and Refresh and find that although they all have a similar, subtle and clean, botanical scent, Refresh is my favorite. It's probably because it contains white tea and crisp mint (two ingredients I'm gaga over). The texture is equally appealing; it isn't greasy, and it left my skin feeling soft, smooth, and touched with a little bit of sheen.

Product Review: Korres Citrus Moisturizing Body Milk

Mmm, mmm masculine! The rich and fresh-scented Citrus Body Milk ($15) from Greek bath and body brand Korres is a sensory extravaganza. The smooth and creamy texture absorbs quickly, leaving your skin matte and feeling hydrated and soft. And it smells amazing.

I'm not sure how you feel, but I've noticed that when when creams are heavily fragrant they can sometimes leave you feeling sticky, grimy, and unclean. Fortunately, it isn't the case at all with this body lotion. I appreciate that although the texture is lightweight and thin, it isn't slimy whatsoever.

However, you will need a generous amount to cover your entire body, so if you like this as an everyday all-over lotion, might I suggest you buy it in bulk? A small price to pay to feel like Aphrodite incarnate.

Product Review: Heidi Klein Coconut Beach Whipped Moisturizer

Heidi Klein, a brand which brings us "holiday" shopping all year round has an amazing two-product coconut, vanilla and jasmine flower beauty range. First there was the Coconut Beach Sea Salt Scrub ($50) and shortly thereafter came the luxuriously thick, non-greasy and powerful beach scented Coconut Beach Whipped Moisturizer ($48).

Not only is it a heavenly (a word I don't often use) over-indulgence for your senses, but it is also formulated with sweet almond oil, monoi de Tahiti, lotus flower milk, marine extracts and cocoa butter. It all feels incredibly smooth on your skin. I'm addicted to using it on my arms and legs as a post-bath-time treat, and surprisingly all you need is a little bit to go the distance (since it's so oil-enriched) so the 5.1 ounce jar should last you a good few months.

And apparently, I'm not the only one who's nutty over this coconut body lotion. Among the jet-setting social crowd, it's a pre-season must-have. It has become such a popular insider cult product that it's actually out of stock online at the moment. Doing Drugstore: Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion

When a tube of Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion ($10) crossed my desk, I had mixed feelings. On one hand, I am a huge fan of Cetaphil's cult (and dermatologist) favorite Gentle Cleanser, but on the other, I feared it would probably just be yet another greasy body lotion.

Now that I've used it for five days in a row, I'll admit that I should have given this moisturizer the benefit of the doubt. It is nowhere near "heavy" in consistency, but you can tell while rubbing it in that it is going to hydrate better than your average, watery body lotion. It has a silky-fine texture that forms a light, non-greasy film on your skin that reminds me of a glycerin based hand cream–smooth, yet not slippery. It soaks in pretty quickly, maybe a little too quickly for my liking. Nonetheless, it left my skin feeling very soft.

While I am a big fan of this moisturizer for daily use, I am not sure it is deserving of the "Ultra Hydrating" title. It would probably be better suited for those of you with normal to moderately dry skin, rather than those of you battling severe dryness. It is also worth noting that although the product is "fragrance-free," it has that distinct "non-smell" kind of smell, which Mr. Bella accurately described as that of water balloons. It's not strong, but it's not exactly fragrance-free, either.
