ck Calvin Klein Beauty: It's Here!

We've already heard some background on the relaunch of Calvin Klein cosmetics. Now they're available online at Sephora, which also has some exclusive colors. I haven't been able to check out this line in person yet - although some readers have mentioned in-store sightings at Macy's - but I'm looking forward to it.

Some of the eye shadow shades are beautiful, and the Ultimate Edge Gel Eyeliners are tempting. (If you're a fan of MAC Fluidlines or HIP cream eyeliner, you'll want to check these out.) One big disappointment: The foundations aren't available in shades to suit most women of color, just a range from Soft Beige to Suntan. Hey, Calvin, what gives? In 2008, there's no excuse for launching a cosmetics line and leaving so many women without choices.

Remember when Calvin Klein had a cosmetics line a few years ago? Its minimalist packaging reminded me of Shu Uemura a bit, and the colors were flattering and natural-looking. Despite these good qualities, it was discontinued. But as of January, it'll be back in a big way.

The ck Calvin Klein beauty collection includes more than 200 products, ranging from foundation to lip color to nail polish and everything in between. The concept is to link the cosmetics line closely to the current-season Calvin Klein fashion. To that end, makeup artists at the sales counter will be called "stylists." (What's wrong with plain old "makeup artists"? Oh well.)

Mark Carrasquillo, ck Calvin Klein global makeup artist, says that color is the thrust of the collection. He said: "You might put a green and blue eyeshadow together, but it's all about the application and how you wear it to make it new." Diane and Josh Celebrate CK at Cannes With Isla, Naomi, and More

The stars at Cannes gathered to celebrate euphoria Calvin Klein last night at a bash held just outside the center of town at the opulent Villa St. George. A few of Calvin's ladies were on hand for the Belvedere-sponsored bash. Model Lara Stone, who's in the CK Jeans campaigns, made the rounds with her comedian husband David Walliams, of Little Britain. Diane Kruger fronts the brand's beauty ads and arrived on the arm of boyfriend Joshua Jackson. It's a busy week for Diane, one of the Cannes Film Festival judges. She managed to have a night of fun, though, and caught up with friends like Isla Fisher, Naomi Watts, and Jessica Chastain.

Fellow Australians Isla and Naomi spent a good portion of the night chatting in a corner together. Jessica and Shailene Woodley were among the last to walk the press line before heading up into the house for drinks and snacks. Alec Baldwin arrived on the arm of his fiancée Hilaria Thomas, and they mingled with other funny guys like Chris Rock and David Schwimmer.

Calvin Klein's Latest Fragrance: ck IN2U

Last night I attended the launch party of Calvin Klein's latest Fragrance called, ck IN2U. This star studded event took place in a warehouse in the garment district in NYC. Drinks flowed (in CK bar-ware of course), male CK models pranced around in black wife beaters and celebs such as: Mena Suvari, Sienna Miller, Jamie Burke and last season's winner from America's Next Top Model, Caridee, were present. Stay tuned for more on my interview with Caridee on next week's installment of Model of the Week.

ck IN2U is a perfume for all of us bloggers out there! The idea is based on the premise that you don't know what the guy looks like that you've been flirting with on IM and email, but you know that he's into you and you are diggin' him for sure! You are having intense feelings of anticipation and excitement.

There you have the essence of the fragrance. It is all about connecting with another person and there are actually two fragrances this time from Calvin Klein although they share a name; one for men and one for women.

ck IN2U for her is made from: pink grapefruit fizz, Sicilian bergamot, red currant leaves, sugar orchid, white cactus, neon amber, vanilla and red cedar. ckIN2U for him is made from: lime gin fizz, pomelo leaves, frosted tangelo, cocoa, pimento, shiso leaves, cool musks, white cedar and ultra-vetiver.

The collection includes a large eau de toilette bottle (5 oz) for $60, a 3.4 oz bottle for $40, and a 1.7 oz bottle for $36. They will be available April 1st at fine department and speciality stores nationwide. To see images from the party,

CK One Is Launching Color Cosmetics

If you've always loved Calvin Klein fragrances, you may be interested to know that ck one is debuting a makeup collection. The 130-piece line will have everything from mascara with an adjustable brush to liquid foundation, lipstick, and glossy eyeliner pencils. Look for a limited rollout in late April, before it's available coast to coast in September.

The campaign is the epitome of grungy cool, featuring top models Lara Stone, Fei Fei Sun, Herieth Paul, and Abbey Lee Kershaw, among others. The posing and photography (by David Sims) are reminiscent of classic ck one spots and refreshingly editorial in style, too. Take a closer look at the models (and the products) now.

Kate Bosworth Heads East in Time to Wrap Up Fashion Week at Calvin Klein

Kate Bosworth joined her design partner and friend, Cher Coulter, on a plane out of LAX last night. The stylish pair caught a flight bound for NYC, where Fall Fashion Week has been under way for a week. Kate prepped for her trip with a last-minute stop at her hair salon and made sure to fit in time with her man, Alexander Skarsgard. Kate and Cher, who collaborate on their affordable accessories line, JewelMint, may gain some inspiration from what's coming down the runways. Kate threw on her latest plain Calvin Klein look for Francisco Costa's latest for the brand today. Kate, who's a former face of CK Jeans, may just have something up her sleeve with the company. She rubbed shoulders in the front row with both Kerry Washington and Zoe Saldana, who arrived in the Big Apple a few days ago too, and has also been affiliated with CK underwear.

Hollywood A-listers gathered to honor nine leading ladies, including Jennifer Aniston and Barbra Streisand, at the Elle Women in Hollywood tribute Monday, but here on Casa, we think another woman deserves a spotlight: event designer extraordinaire Cara Kleinhaut. Cara and her award-winning design team at Caravents are not only responsible for the production at Elle's exclusive event, but soirees for top-notch Hollywood clients, including HBO, Target, and Condé Nast publications. Fresh from the intimate women-empowering award dinner, Cara talks to us about translating Hollywood event design into home decor, party tips, and throwing decor caution to the wind. CasaSugar: You recently designed the Elle Women in Hollywood event; what's it like to produce such a high-profile party?
Cara Kleinhaut: We do a complete room transformation at the Four Seasons in LA. We come in and build false walls, stage backdrops, room lighting . . . the room is completely built to reflect and represent the Elle brand, using Calvin Klein Collection as a big inspiration.

CS: How did you come up with the design palette?
CK: Calvin and Elle are minimalists and chic, and L'Oréal Paris is very colorful and feminine. So it was about marrying the different aesthetics that work for everyone. We used a color palette of white, slate charcoal, with pops of plum and a beautiful burgundy. And a texture palette of ultrasuede, hammered silver, plexiglass, and smoked plexiglass. Everything was a partnership with Elle, and the calla lilies were a group decision. They are extremely elegant, very structured, tailored looking, and extremely chic. It was my favorite detail of the night. Barbra Streisand loved our calla lilies!
