Say it ain't so, S and B! I doubt that Serena and Blair's friendship is actually over, but it'll probably take at least another 10 episodes before they reconcile. Everyone's on the outs these days, but at least they all look fabulous (Nate is at his cutest when he's brooding, no?). There were also a couple of big "mysteries" this episode, but the most mystifying thing to me was Serena's braid, though at least she did something different with her hair. So how are you doing? Was this episode mostly about extremely silly political stunts, or did you see it for the beauty gold mine it was?

So. Everyone on the show is a jerk. Last night, I was so embarrassed for Blair that I had to hide my head in the couch cushions for a minute. This episode was hard on almost all the characters, even Lily, whose sad pep talk was the kind of thing that goes down in the too-honest-parenting hall of fame. Which Eye Makeup Look Do You Prefer on Taylor Momsen?

Taylor Momsen has been getting increasingly mall punk with her smoky eye makeup lately, as you can see from her pic at the premiere of The Stepfather last night. While I'm impressed that she manages to wear it without getting it all over the place and looking like a raccoon (or Robert Smith, for that matter), I don't know that I like it better than her fresh-faced look from early this year. What do you think? Does every teenager deserve a little grown-up drama once in a while, or is something more subtle better on her features?

In case you didn't hear, Gossip Girl is back, and boy, is it on. If you were eagerly awaiting the show's return hopefully you, like me, weren't disappointed. I'm liking Bree Buckley quite a bit thus far, and I'm really hoping Nate keeps that Ferrari. As for Carter, well . . . you can never have too much Sebastian Stan on your TV set, that's for sure. Michelle Trachtenberg Nails the Gossip Girl Look

At last night's Guess boutique party, Michelle Trachtenberg dished on the relationship drama we'll come to see on the next season of Gossip Girl. But that's not all she revealed; turns out, M.T. has a nearly photographic memory when it comes to her character's manicures.

"Not a lot of people know this, but I like to change Georgina’s nail polish color," Michelle told us. "It’s very reflective of the season. When I first came on I was wearing the Chanel that was crazy limited [Blue Satin]. In the second season, I wore Essie Wicked on my fingers. At the very end, when I was enrolling into NYU, I had a cobalt blue. For this season, we start out at first with Essie Berry Hard and now this is the OPI That's Hot! Pink. I’m really serious about her nail polish!"
