Have we mentioned it's red week enough times yet? Here are some of my favorite anti-frizz formulated serums that are packaged in...red! To apply: after washing and conditioning your hair, while it's still wet apply a few drops of serum starting at the ends and working your way up to the roots. After you blow dry, if you need to control any fly-a-ways, dab just a little bit into the palm of your hand and then use your finger tips to smooth out your already set hair. Fresh jasmine has a heady, beautiful scent, which is why the flowers are so valued in the fragrance world. Chanel uses jasmine in Chanel N°5, and the raw floral oil sells for more than $120 an ounce. In other words, it's luxurious stuff - which is why the idea of having jasmine-scented hair feels incomparably fancy. Earlier this week, designer Rachel Roy did just that at the Met Gala, wearing Kesari Indian Oil hair serum ($26.50) in her hair. The newly launched serum is incredibly lightweight, stops frizz, and adds shine when applied before or after a blow-dry. Those are all worthy qualities, but the reason I keep applying it is the scent. Imagine a dozen freshly plucked jasmine flowers sitting in the sun, softly releasing their fragrance. That's exactly it, and that's why this jasmine aficionado will probably finish her bottle by the end of next week.
