In my experience, the majority of brides see their honeymoons as a chance to unwind and relax with the new hubby. Some prefer a tropical and remote destination where there's not much to do besides soak up the sun and smile. (I think we all know what "smile" is code for.) Others prefer to engage in various activities outside of the bedroom.

However, I'm hard-pressed to find a bride that didn't need a little bit of de-stressing after the big day. On your honeymoon, would you treat yourself to a spa treatment - or even get your husband in on a couple's massage?

After the wedding and the honeymoon, it's now The Honeymoon's Over week! I'm sharing all kinds of ideas to keep your married life as beautiful as your courtship.

When you're married (or just in a committed relationship), there are some grooming and beauty rituals you just can't hide from your sweetheart. That's not necessarily a bad thing, since sharing the mundane details of our lives can be healthy. At the same time, though, there's something to be said for keeping the romance alive, right? I always say, "If you wouldn't do it in front of your boss or best friend, don't do it in front of the person you love." Here's my advice on a few beauty secrets you may want to keep to yourself (while keeping yourself as pretty as ever).

The home bikini wax Just trust me on this one: Wait until Hubby is out of the house before getting started. Nobody looks or feels her best while hopping around naked, waving hot wax in the air and ripping out hair from delicate areas. Unless your "sexy time" involves wincing in pain and pulling tiny dried bits of wax off your skin (and hey, if it does, more power to you) it's probably easier to do this routine solo.

Zit popping Everyone gets blackheads and acne, but enlisting your man to help you conquer the Krakatoa-sized pimple on your nose is not the best way to keep the romance alive. (The one exception is if you can turn it into a fun spa treatment; Mr. Bella and I occasionally give each other facials, but I still don't let him pop my pustules).

Preparation H Models have claimed that using Preparation H on puffy eyes can reduce swelling. More women have heard about this unusual treatment than men, which means your husband is more likely to ask how your hemorrhoids are doing than to marvel at your puff-free eyes. Not sexy.

Nipple hair removal Oh, come on. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about! Most women have some nipple hair, and if you're okay with yours, leave it and love it. If you don't like it, though, you could find better ways to bond than by bleaching your nipple hair with your newlywed love.

Give each other a massage. Use body lotions or sexy scented oils to create a mellow mood that heightens the senses.
Light a few candles, play soft music and then draw a bath for you and your honey. Don't be afraid to mix in scented bath treats to help create a calm and relaxing aroma-therapeutic atmosphere. Bath products will also soften and soothe tired skin.
After the bath, lay down and give each other a ten minute foot massage. Not only is this incredibly relaxing but it's also an aphrodisiac (your toes are an erogenous zone).
While you're in the moment, why not see if you can get your guy to indulge in a face mask treatment. Although he may resist at first, I'm willing to bet that when it's all said and done, he'll love the results. Plus, if he does this for you, tell him you'll try your hand a round of golf (or whatever it is he's been asking of you)!
If you're not really bath people, take a long, hot shower together. Lather each other up with a fresh scented body wash and give each other a three-minute scalp massage. Beauty Bloopers: The Midas Touch

Welcome to the second installment of Beauty Bloopers. A beauty blooper can be anything from a brow wax gone wrong to having lipstick on your teeth. So don't be shy-share your stories and I'll post some of them here on BellaSugar (anonymously, of course).

Since it's The Honeymoon's Over week here in Sugar-land, I thought it would be appropriate to share a "couple" incident. I'll let our anonymous newlywed take it away...

I love taking baths to relax and unwind, and I like trying unusual and colorful kinds of bubble baths. My husband, however, is more into showering, so usually he lets me bathe alone. One day he thought it would be romantic to take a bath together, so I directed him toward my bath supplies and let him run the tub. But we couldn't have known the disaster that would ensue...

I let my husband run the bath, but I didn't tell him how much bubble bath to use. (He's a big boy, right?) When I got into the bathroom, everything looked great-the tub was filled with fluffy, luscious, foamy bubbles. I stepped into the bath, relaxed, and then I noticed that the water was filled with gold litter. It turns out he'd used TWO glittery bath crumblies from Lush, whereas I make one bar last for two or three baths. When we got out of the tub, we were absolutely covered with tiny gold sparkles. We looked like a pair of Oscar statuettes. Worse still, even after we rinsed off in the shower, we found glitter everywhere for weeks. I like to tease him and call him King Midas, but we haven't shared a bath since.

Moral of the story: A little bit of glitter goes a long way.
