I love combination lip and cheek colors. There's no better way to get a natural, pretty flush, and that's why I was glad to see reader Medgrl726's smart, informative review of Stila Convertible Color ($25). (Celebrity makeup artist Brett Freedman is also a fan.) Medgrl725 tells us:
I'm almost out of my Stila Convertible Color, and felt compelled to talk up its mileage for all this time.

Recently, I asked celebrity makeup artist Brett Freedman for some of his back-to-school beauty tips, and he delivered, by providing ideas for changing up your bronzer to adapt from warm- to cool-weathered times. Now, he's sharing another back-to-school tip, whether you're hitting the books for the start of a new school year, or you're looking for some different approaches to makeup.
"Lip glazes make a big difference," he said.

Reader Fashion_doll24 thinks that The Body Shop's Lip and Cheek Stain ($14) is a purse essential. Formulated for all skin tones, this multitasking gel formula gives a wash of color to cheeks and lips. Take it away, Fashion_doll24:
I'm a big fan of this stain, mainly because I'm not good at finding the right shade of lip gloss for my complexion, and this is definitely a case of "one shade fits all."

I've learned that an astounding number of you prefer to use powder blush over cream blush, mineral blushes or cheek stains, and now I want to know about your love of lip products. When I'm heading out the door, my go-to lip product is usually a neutral, shimmery lip gloss. Do you also reach for a gloss or are you more of a tinted or a plain lip balm, lipstick or lip stain kind of gal?

As we know, berry lips are a great away to add a touch of bright color to any Winter look. From the sneak peek at the Bobbi Brown Raspberry Collection, it looks like berries are going to get even darker — yet more sheer — for Spring 2008. Here are three great blackberry lip shades that also happen to complement the dark-purple nail trend.

How "berry" appropriate that makeup in the winter months turns to shades of reds, golds and berries to create warmth and depth. Sheer berries are a great way to incorporate a hint of bright color into your look since they are softer than red lipsticks and bright pink lipsticks. You can also dab a bit on your your cheeks for a fresh and natural-looking flush.

Although this lipstick range is part of the Fall 2007 Play In The Darks collection by Clinique, that I told you about in late July, these three new shades of Almost Lipstick struck a chord when I realized that they are renditions of the ever-popular cult favorite Black Honey Almost Lipstick. At first I thought there was just one new version out called Black Plum, but I have recently learned about two more shades in Black Raspberry (bright, sheer pink) and Black Raisin (deep wine).
There's a reason I am so excited.

For the Holiday 2007 season, Nars launched its beautiful Siren Song Collection. I've been a busy bee creating different looks with all of the colors, but the one product I just can't seem to make friends with is the Lip Gloss/Lip Stain Gloss Duos.
I'm a lover of most makeup pairs because of their great value, and I certainly haven't met a Nars product that I didn't like, but my experience with the Indian Red Lip Stain side of my duo was a colossal disaster.
