I love it when companies choose clever and uplifting product names to put a smile on your face. The theme of these items is laughter, and I think they make great gifts or pick-me-ups for yourself.

Space NK Laughter Body Wash ($28) is a gentle liquid and moisturizing body wash made from fruit extracts, rosemary, lime, ginger, juniper, and rosemary. No wonder you'll want to marinate in it while you're taking a shower.

The trio of shadows is made from 100 percent minerals and is naturally free of all preservatives and irritants. Wear alone or blend together to create a silly or serious look.

Lola Cosmetics Geisha Giggle Lip Shine Lipstick ($18) is a shiny shade of coral that's perfect for day or nighttime wear. Plus, it smells wonderful because it's made from jasmine, orchid, lotus flower, and ginger.

Make-You-Laugh Makeup: Suggestive Names

Part of the fun of shopping for makeup is checking out some of the creative, sexy and funny names that companies come up with for new products. While something like Thrrrob is outwardly sexy, some names are more discreetly suggestive. These in particular made me laugh, so I thought you might enjoy them too.

The Balm Plum Your Pucker Lip Gloss in Squeeze My Lemons ($14) is a translucent and gentle lip plumper made from folic acid, menthol, vitamin C and just a slight touch of Maxi-Lip plumper to help increase blood flow to the mouth.

All of the glosses from The Balm are cutesy, but I happen to think the name of this one in particular is adorable. We totally get what it means and can laugh about it without it feeling gross whatsoever.

Urban Decay Matte Eye Shadow in Yeyo ($16). When I saw this I gasped out loud. I am not sure what other meanings this word has, but from what I understand it's a pretty perverse and direct way to talk about cocaine. I imagine that I'm not that far off base considering the description for the color is matte white. That's just poor taste, guys - think of the kids.

Ramy Whipped Liqui-Air Color in Room 369 ($19) is a weightless and whipped liquid cheek color. Think of it more as a sheer cream blush than as a foundation. It glides on smooth and can be worn on your eyes as well. It dries instantly and will last long so unlike a cream blush, you can't smudge it off.

I love the subtlety of this name. Ramy, keep 'em coming - your clever names always give me a good chuckle.

As we all know, makeup can really be fun. I love it when designers create humorous or sarcastic names to go along with their products-why not, right? A couple of months ago, I posted about funny face makeup names and most recently, on my journey through stores and websites searching for blue makeup, I stumbled across some pretty clever names for cosmetics that have to do with regret. GiggleSugar Reveals Her Beauty Secrets

BellaSugar launched a year ago this week, and I've had so much fun getting to know so many of you. I've also had a wonderful time making friends with the other Sugars. So to celebrate a year of Bella, I've asked my fellow Sugars to share their beauty advice this week. First up is Giggle, who is as pretty as she is hilarious. So here we go:

Which beauty products are your must-haves?
Prescriptives Traceless tinted moisturizer, Aveeno calming moisturizer with SPF 15 and Aveeno nighttime wrinkle cream, Vincent Longo and Nars concealers, Bobbi Brown eye shadows, and Lancome Definicils mascara. Lipstick at all times.

What’s your favorite beauty ritual?
Putting on glam makeup I wouldn’t wear during the day. (Fab introduced me to Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Glitter Eye Gel I put on my lashline. Hot!)

What’s your go-to lip product?
I have four that I generally have with me at all times: 1) Discontinued L'Oreal Shine Delice in Black Cherry for day; it's a sheer tint that makes me look alive and healthy instead of dead and pallid. If I put a lot on it’s great for night. 2) Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur # 129 in Fuchsia Pink mostly for nighttime. It’s a little intense. 3) Laura Mercier Plum Wine for day. 4) Burt’s Bees Pomegranate Replenishing lip balm.

What is your morning beauty routine?
I grew up in Texas and I am a Leo. That might explain the following. You might not know it (please tell me I don’t look like a Vegas showgirl) but I wear a lot of makeup. Unless I wear my glasses, in which case, only lip gloss.

What’s your signature fragrance?
Gucci Rush

What’s the best beauty advice you’ve ever received?
Go light on foundation to look younger.

And the worst advice?
“You should do something with your brows.” Some people have bushy brows, and futzing with them makes them look like a completely different, alien person. And not in a good way. I’ll pluck some stray hairs, but reshaping? Not happening.

Any tips or tricks you want to share with readers?
Organize your makeup in a three-story Container Store acrylic container and your morning routine (if you wear makeup) will be a cinch. It’s small enough that you can’t have everything in there - just the stuff you use and need.

What's your favorite drugstore beauty product?
A discontinued L’Oreal lipstick called Shine Delice in Black Cherry. (Wait, did I say that ten times already?) I have enough to last me until I’m 90, so it’s all good. (I know, I know, I’m supposed to throw them out. You’ll have to pry them from my cold, dead hands.)

When do you feel the most beautiful?
There’s no question that I feel good about how I look when I’m well-groomed and put together, but it’s when I’m having a good time with friends and laughing that I feel best about everything.

Joan Rivers Does Makeup... And It's Pretty Good!

The other night I was up late web surfing and I came across this really great MakeUp Set - Best of the Season Color Collection Palette ($25) by Joan Rivers. Now before you laugh her off, I'd like to say that if Joan Rivers has one thing, it's life experience. And apparently, she knows what women want when it comes to makeup. Well, at least she's got something that I've been looking for.

What struck me most about this palette is that it has it all: powder, blush, lip colors, brushes and eye shadows (including a dark shade that can double as liner). It really makes for light traveling when you don't have to pack each of these items separately.

Now I know what you're thinking: Aren't face palettes a dime a dozen? Yes, but finding one that also includes a powder is a challenge. There aren't many of these around and I find myself wishing there were more. What do you wish you could find more of in the world of beauty?

Interview: Marissa Shipman, Founder of The Balm

Here on BellaSugar, I'll be bringing you interviews with the faces behind some of my favorite beauty brands, and I thought I'd kick things off by chatting with Marissa Shipman, the founder and CEO of makeup company The Balm.

I recently lunched with Shipman in San Francisco, where her company is based, and we gabbed about how she got her start in the beauty biz, as well as her current and future products. After a number of years working in TV, the ingenue decided that she wanted to move from New York to the West Coast and start her own makeup company.

Shipman bought eleven makeup recipe books and began concocting her own potions in her kitchen. Her first product was a lip balm, and the name "The Balm" was born. The brand now has more than 10 products in more than 50 wearable and practical colors, and Shipman is humble, beautiful, and an extremely hard worker. BELLA: How do you come up with your products?
MS: There is a story behind everything that I make. For example, I am obsessed with Crayola Crayons and their packaging. When I created my Pick-Up Liners, I put a pencil sharpener on the side of the box just like they used to!

Also, the liners are small because my grandmother used to snap her makeup pencils in half so that she would have one for her day bag and one for her evening bag.

BELLA: What is the most difficult part of your job?
MS: I find it very difficult to stop working. The Balm is my baby, and I always want to nurture it. It's not even a complaint; I love what I do!

BELLA: What challenges have you faced that you didn't expect?
MS: Everything! (laughs) Everything that can go wrong does. It's Murphy's Law, and you just have to go with it.

BELLA: What's the most fun part about your job?
MS: I am living a dream. It doesn't even feel like I have a job; it's all fun. But my favorite part is product development.

BELLA: What's next for the company?
MS: We have several new products coming out later this year and in 2008. We have recently just launched Balm Shelter, which is our newest SPF tinted moisturizer.

Love It or Hate It? Miley Cyrus Meets a Lot of Eyeliner

Before performing last night, Miley Cyrus hit the red carpet. Would you believe this girl is only 15? Looking at her heavy eyeliner and sculpted eyebrows, I'd never guess it-the makeup makes her look a few years older, with a bit of a Megan Fox thing going on.

Sure, she looks polished and grown up, but a less dramatic look might be more appropriate for her age. Or am I being a fuddy-duddy? You tell me, then check out this oddball Hannah Montana cover for a baffling laugh.
