Nivea Celebrates 100 Years With a "House" in Grand Central Station

In honor of its 100th anniversary, Nivea has taken over Vanderbilt Hall at NYC's Grand Central station for a special pop-up. Called "Nivea's 100 Year House," the space was designed to look like a tin of its world-famous cream. There's plenty to keep one busy during a few free moments, from its interactive "skin education station," where you can test your skin's moisture and elasticity levels, to a "journey through the years" station that looks back at the packaging and ads of yesteryear.

The brand's celebrity pals were in evidence around the exhibit. Giuliana Rancic, who worked with Nivea on its 2010 New Year's celebration, was on hand to celebrate the opening. Rihanna, the voice of Nivea's latest campaign, was on display on special collector's tins. You can even take a photo in a special booth and have yourself superimposed next to Rihanna. For that, samples, and more, check out Nivea's booth in Grand Central, which is open until Friday.

As part of Nivea's upcoming centennial, Rihanna has just been named the voice of the brand's "100 Years Skin Care For Life" campaign. As part of the deal, Nivea will sponsor Rihanna in her tour starting this May. And while we'll just have to wait and see exactly how Nivea incorporates Rihanna's pipes into the 100-year festivities, what we do know is that a large-scale marketing campaign is planned and will feature events such as a skin care advisory tour.
