If October were a color, it would have to be the rich, buttery orange of a pumpkin, and if it were scent, you know it would be a cool breeze wafting the aroma of pumpkin pie redolent with cinnamon and nutmeg (with whipped cream on top and a mug of caramel apple cider to drink, of course). So, for my nose (and my stomach), it's a very good thing that this month, all the swoon-worthy pumpkin beauty products roll out. I looked around the Internet for all that was cute and delicious, and I came back with a whole patch full of goodies.

After a few weeks of warm temperatures, there's no denying it officially feels like Autumn. Yesterday I passed by one of those makeshift pumpkin patches on the city street corner and then immediately bought myself a long-sleeved turtleneck and a big bag of Brach's Harvest Mix. Now that I'm in the mood for this seasonably crisp weather and I've officially got an addiction to candy corn and other mellowcreme confections, I've got pumpkin on the brain.

I'll be honest with you: I thought the last Beauty Mark It challenge was going to be a tough one. After all, how many pumpkin products can there be? So I was very happy to see how many things you found—most of which I'd never seen before!

I've gone pumpkin crazy! Yesterday, Giggle and I split some tasty pumpkin gelato. Then I went to the grocery market and saw carving pumpkins for sale.

Fall is the time to try out bold, dark, and deep lip tones, but sometimes the pH levels in your skin and simple oxidation can cause that fantastic bold berry hue to transform into a strange shade of orange by noon. But by using a contrasting shade to correct these unwanted changes, you can keep your lip color from turning into a pumpkin — unless of course, you are going for a lovely russet hue, which is a beautiful choice, too. Check out my color-correcting tips when you read more.

If you've been reading pretty regularly these past few weeks, you'll know that September was a tough one for Bella. Now that October has arrived, to help make it all better, it's time to patch things up. October may be all about pumpkin patches, and of course there are birth control patches, the smoking cessation patch, and even that trendy pirate eyepatch look I was raving about at the beginning of April.

Just wanted to remind everyone about this week's Beauty Mark It challenge. I thought it would be fun if we all shared our favorite pumpkin-based products. For instance, this Peter Thomas Roth mask uses pumpkin enzymes to brighten and refresh skin, and it's on my "need to try" list.
