Looking like the quintessential California girl, Sheryl Crow knows she has plenty to smile about. After all, her sixth album, Detours, has been nominated for a Grammy. Whether she wins or not, I think she deserves a gold star for looking simultaneously elegant and carefree. Her beachy hair has just enough polish, and her natural-glam makeup brings out the blue in her eyes. Do you love this look on Sheryl?

At the 2007 Country Music Awards, Sheryl Crow wowed the red carpet. Her hair was soft and wavy, her outfit was classy, and her makeup was polished.

I especially like the way her nude lips sparkle, taking years off of her face. Clearly there's more than just talent that makes this lady a shining country music star! The magic behind her makeup is none other than Chanel's secret weapon, makeup artist Angela Levin.

FACE: Angela actually stopped over to see Sheryl the night before to prep her skin with some Chanel Sublimage Cream so that it would be nice and hydrated for the event. The day of the event, she applied some Hydramax Plus Tinted Moisturizer in Sand to her face and then added some Cle de Peau Cream Foundation on top for more coverage.
CHEEKS: Then, to warm up the apples of her cheeks a little bit, she added a dusting of Senna Cosmetics bronzer and highlighter combo in Radiance Face Color Trio and blended along her cheekbones.
EYES: The goal was to create a natural, yet polished and defined eye. Angela began by blending the colors in the Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow in Golden Eyes together and then adding in some of Senna Cosmetics Double Effect Creamline Powder Duo in Midnight Magic. She finished the look with two coats of Chanel Inimitable Mascara in Noir.
LIPS: Lastly to create Sheryl's shiny, nude mouth, Angela applied a little bit of Herbal Lip Therapy in Cherry Almond and then topped them off with a special, sparkly Chanel Glossimer Lip Gloss in Sunset Gold.

You know why Sheryl Crow has so much staying power? She's a little bit country, a little bit rock 'n' roll. (Sorry, you know I love puns.) I think her ability to look glamorous and low-maintenance at the same time is exemplified with this CMA makeup and hair. Does she look formal enough for such an event? Absolutely! Sheryl Crow arrived at the Marc Jacobs fashion show with some seriously curly hair. Not only is it hot in NYC, but she's also got a new baby to tend to. Maybe she just couldn't deal with primping-we've certainly all been there.

Having said, that, I kinda like it. I had no idea her hair was so curly-did you? We've also seen her with straight hair and with a more contrived wave at the 2007 Golden Globes. Which style do you think looks best on Sheryl?

Does FabSugar know how to call it or what? Two weeks ago we spotted a runway style for Spring we called Loose Waves & Center Parts that we knew was going to be red carpet hot! Since so many stars were already sporting this beautiful and breezy style we figured this is one hairdo that is here to stay.
