Polls, schmolls — my guess is that many of us will be biting our nails tomorrow right until the moment the election results are in. If campaign drama has you stressed, preemptively create an environment where you're able to relax while the numbers roll in. Switch on some NPR, home of the soothingly voiced announcers, and eliminate as much of the stress as possible.

I've often heard that blemishes can bloom from diet changes, hormonal fluctuation, and from changing skincare products. All of these factors may contribute in some way to the outbreak of spots, but one thing I know for sure is that when I am stressed, I always suffer a breakout.
I decided to do a little bit of research to find out why, if in fact it is stress that is such a traumatic trigger for my skin.

I'm doing a little dance right now because Exhale, the luxe spa that has everything from Core Fusion exercise classes to acupuncture and brow tweezing, is adding another quirky set of services — and they're cheap, my friends, (relatively) cheap. From this month on, all their spas will have a Wellbar kiosk that offers shorter, less expensive takes on some of their full-length services, which means $20 for a zit-zapping mini-facial that includes a round of blue light therapy, or $40 for an aromatherapy scalp and hand massage, which is incredi-cheap given how much spa massages usually cost. It sounds perfect for days when I'm stressed in the morning and just need a half hour of pampering.

If you've got relaxed-yet-wavy hair (like curly Bella), you've probably at least heard of "wrapping." The technique can help breakage-prone or frizzy hair preserve sleek styles while you sleep or work out. Whether it involves chemically straightened, flat-ironed or blow-dried tresses, wrapping provides less stress on your hair and holds straightness through the night with a satin sleep cap or scarf.

As any American who doesn't have health insurance — or heck, even some American who does — can tell you, medical care doesn't come cheap. That's why an increasing number of people are traveling abroad to have medical procedures done at a fraction of prices. That goes for cosmetic surgery, too; from Costa Rica to Thailand to India, a number of countries are encouraging visitors to have a boob job, face lift, or tummy tuck while on holiday.
