Frédéric Malle's Scent of Mediterranean Nights

This light and sweet Frédéric Malle Editions de Parfums Lys Mediterranée ($120) is one of those great scents that perfectly captures the warmth and excitement of a Summer evening. In fact, the high-end fragrance, created by famed perfumer Edouard Fléchier, is designed to evoke evenings by the Mediterranean seaside.

Fléchier is probably best known as the man behind 1985's top-selling fragrance, Poison by Christian Dior. Just looking at that familiar purple bottle makes me melt, and I was only 8 years old when it came out. Thankfully, Lys Mediterranée is far more subdued than Poison. It's made from ginger lily, lily of the valley, angelica root, orange flower, water lily, and musk, which gives it a crisp, breezy feel.

Beauty Marked! Your Favorite Summer Scents

After declaring Dior Addict 2 Summer Peonies one of my must-haves for June, I got to thinking about the importance of having a special Summer scent. After all, the change in seasons means finding a light-smelling perfume that's perfectly suited to the hotter months. So for our latest Beauty Mark It challenge, I asked you guys to Beauty Mark your favorite fragrances for when the weather gets warm. (To learn what a Beauty Mark is and how to make one, click here.)

The response to this challenge was truly overwhelming - but in a great way! The Beauty Marks ran the gamut from affordable mists, like ElleJay's Victoria's Secret Tahitian Vanilla Flower Body Spray, to pricier perfumes, such as Givenchy Very Irresistible Givenchy Summer Sun, about which Foreverdizzy raves: "Not only does the bottle reflect the mood of hot summer days, but the scent does, too!"

Bill Blass Parfum Concentree

Bill Blass Parfum Concentree ($150) is a sophisticated and fresh Summer fragrance. It has a strong floral, green-garden smell that is perfect for this time of year. I recently tried a sample of it, and I was happy and surprised that it kept its scent far longer than most perfumes.

It is blended with neroli, galbanum, mandarin, hyacinth, lily of the valley, tuberose, and jasmine. The .7-ounce bottle is also very sweet and demure, with a taupe grosgrain ribbon tied in a bow around the nape. The scent is also available in as an Eau de Parfum ($95), a body cream ($95), a body lotion ($48.50), and a body powder ($60).

Would You Be Into Kate Moss Hair and Makeup Products?

Kate Moss has been at the center of the modeling world for 20 years, and we've seen her as the face of all sorts of brands, from the prestigious Gucci, Dior, and Louis Vuitton down to drugstore favorite, Rimmel. Recently, the supermodel, who admits she's "not traditionally a beauty" to WWD, has just launched Vintage ($23-$53), a fruity floriental inspired by her love of vintage fashions.

But as you might know, this isn't the first scent we've seen from Kate. Her debut fragrance, Kate, was introduced in 2007. Then came Velvet Hour, followed by the limited-edition Kate Summer Time; and she's not about to stop now. In fact, Kate also has plans to create special makeup collections for Rimmel, and a haircare line with stylist James Brown is in the works. "It’s fun for me," Moss told WWD. "I still model, and I enjoy doing that as well. Working on the creative process is really interesting for me because I do know what I like, so it’s fun for me to realize that it becomes part of you. It’s not just putting your name on something; it’s about being very involved in it." What do you think about more Kate Moss beauty lines? Are you intrigued or apathetic?

Beauty Mark It! A Summer Scent

Beauty routines aren't static. The dynamic nature of the environment we live in requires us to adjust to outside forces. Humidity brings out the frizz, the heat causes perspiration and our hair and makeup choices have to accommodate. But one beauty regimen that doesn't necessarily need to adhere to the weather is fragrance. There is nothing inherently wrong with wearing a floral, more airy perfume in the Winter or a woodsy, heavier version in the Summer. That being said, I can't help myself from switching scents each season.

This Summer I fell in love with Bobbi Brown's Beach fragrance. If you recall, I gave it away last month in our big, beachy giveaway, and let's just say that it was hard for me to see it go. Do you do the scent switch-out, too? If so, what are you wearing this Summer?

Beauty Mark It Results: A Summer Scent

We're well into July at this point (can you believe it?), so now is the perfect time to discuss your favorite Summer scent. There's just something about the heat that makes you want to put away the heavier fragrance you've been wearing and really embrace the lighter fare. That's why last week I challenged you to bookmark your go-to smell of the season.

TeamSugar member Jude C has been sporting Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue as of late. She says that it's "light and fresh, but still feminine. My favorite Summer scent!" Can't argue with that.

Burberry's New Summer Scent

Burberry Summer, $58, is a yummy limited edition fragrance that will actually only be for sale from April to May. This is a much lighter, sweeter and more citrusy scent than the classic perfume - and it comes in a cute pink preppy bottle!

The design of the bottle and the packaging was inspired by the essence of an English summer day. There is a soft pink nautical rope logo on the bottle and the outer packaging is crisp white with a cute pink and white check design.

It is made from: mandarin, bergamot, grapefruit, green apple, water lily, freesia, rose, cedarwood, sandalwood, white musk, vanilla and a hint of moss; it is available in a 3.3 oz spray for $58 and a 1.7 oz spray for $47.
