New Product Alert: MAC Painterly Collection

Okay, so I know I sound like I've reverted to sixth-grade Bella, but seriously, you guys: This is so cool. MAC has just released a line of new eye shadows called Paint Pots. The highly pigmented shadows go on creamy, but dry to a vibrant matte or pearlized finish. You'll need a makeup brush to apply it, but with these colors, I think it's worth it!

MAC has also introduced Technakohl (yuk yuk), a mechanical pencil liner, and I'm completely crazy about these Featherette lashes. Practical? No. Fabulously fantastical? Absolutely!

You Can Look Pretty in Purple Shadow, Too

Emma Stone sure knows how to glam it up, doesn't she? At last night's GQ Men of the Year event in LA, the actress wowed in this subtle lavender shadow. Encircling the eyes with makeup can look raccoon-like, but Emma manages to pull it off, thanks to a light touch and a soft-toned shade. The great thing about this cooler-toned shade is that it looks great during all seasons, and it just happens to be very of-the-moment. You can look pretty in purple shadow, too. Below are three electric aqua eyeliners great for creating anything from an edgy rock-star look to that of a playful party girl!

Starry-Eyed Liquid Eyeliner in Drunk Dial (17.50) is a daring liquid teal blue eyeliner that is packed with glitter. The super-fine brush makes application easy, and it is formulated with good-for-you ingredients like soothing carrot and calming cucumber.

Wear it alone or on top of an already pencil-lined eye for increased intensity And if you think this name is cute, you should see the rest of them. Makeup can be so much fun!
