It's usually mint, mint, or mint. I find this mediocre selection not only damnably dull but altogether intolerable. Every day we're confronted with images of celebrities who've had their teeth capped, veneered, zoom whitened, Invisaligned, and any number of other surgical and chemical processes - smiles that no real person has and that run into the thousands of dollars to create. Which is why it's refreshing when a little bit of naturalness peeps through. There's no case where this is more true than with gap teeth, which, prior to our symmetry and straightness-obsessed age, were a sign of seductive prowess (anybody remember the Wife of Bath in the Canterbury Tales? In Merry Olde England, gap teeth were quite the hot thing- kinda like Marilyn Monroe and Cindy Crawford's moles). And despite the prevailing culture, the ladies I've put together still look sexy as hell, no dentist required. So c'mon, get gappy and check these famous spaces out.

Would You Tattoo Your Teeth?

File this under totally strange cosmetic enhancements. Toothartist.com is an online tooth tattoo parlor. Yep, you heard me, you can tattoo your teeth. Well, kinda. Just choose the design you want (Elvis, a howling wolf, and ex-presidents are a few options, but they will recreate any image you would like for a price). After your dentist sends a mold of your tooth to Toothartist, they will send a custom-tattooed crown back in a few weeks. Quite a process, yes, but if you're into this sort of thing, I guess it would be worth it. I'm dying to know what you think about this.

The Simple Trick To Keep Lipstick Off Your Teeth

Quick, alert Buffy and Giles! Looks like there's a possible blonde vampire on the loose, with suspicious red marks on her teeth and a habit of going out every single night-

Oh, wait. It's just Paris Hilton with lipstick on her teeth. The socialite has been using brighter lip colors than usual, but it looks like she's still figuring out how to keep the lipstick from migrating. It happens to everyone, I guess.

Fortunately, there's a very easy way to avoid this awkwardness, and I use it whenever I wear red lipstick. After applying the lipstick, wash your hands and put your index finger directly into your mouth. Close your mouth around it, and pull out your finger. Doing so transfers the excess color to your finger, not your teeth. Of course, it doesn't hurt to check in the mirror before going out, but this simple move should do the trick!
