Go For the Gold, Part III: Eye Liner

Today’s installment of the gold makeup series is about gilded eyeliner. Available in powder, liquid and gel forms, gold eyeliner has been a runway trend since Fall 2007. It’s a fun and sexy way to spice up your look for a party without going too over-the-top. Here are three gold eyeliners, I think you’ll love just as much as I do.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Honey 24K Gold ($15) is a really smooth and creamy eyeliner that mostly dries after about 30 seconds, and then stays put to a smudge- and water-proof finish. This specific color is really vibrant and looks especially amazing on those with blue eyes.

Heidi Klum For Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Glitter Eyeliner in Bang ($12) is a golden-bronze liquid glitter liner that comes with a superfine brush for easy and precise application. Warning, this color isn’t for the shy girls. It’s packed with loads of long-lasting gold shimmer. Heidi says, “I layer this bronzey-gold glitter over black liner to give my eyes that sexy bang!"

Chantecaille Luminous Eyeliner in Crescendo ($22) is a creamy and richly-pigmented bold, gold liquid eyeliner. It contains crushed pearls for a shimmery effect and the color is very clean and bright, so you may want to start off with a light hand and add more as you go.

How To: Get Heidi Klum's Emmy Awards Makeup Look

Now that we've talked about the red lipstick and the unique side updo that Heidi Klum wore to the 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards last night, let's take a closer look at the rest of the package from a beauty standpoint.

Believe it or not, this supermodel, TV star, jewelry designer, wife and mother of three has also just finished designing her own line of makeup for Victoria's Secret. The collection is called Heidi Klum Very Sexy Makeup Collection and will be available in mid-October-but more on that later!

Heidi didn't do her own makeup for the red carpet, though. Victoria’s Secret makeup artist Linda Hay was responsible for creating her flawless face, and she even used one of Heidi's new Very Sexy makeup product creations.

Face and Body: Linda bronzed Heidi's skin with a mixture of Bare Bronze Leg Perfecting Spray Tint and the Sexy Little Things Touch Me Gently Airbrush Moisturizer.
Step 2: Next, to give Heidi a little bit of glow (apparently Heidi is a huge fan of glitter), Linda applied a little bit of Bare Bronze Daily Glow Facial Moisturizer. Next, she dusted Very Sexy Mosaic Blush in Love Life to the apples of her cheeks for a rosy, pink look. Then she added some Very Sexy Mosaic Bronzer to her nose, forehead, temples and a down her neck and towards her chest.
Step 3:To create Heidi's smoky eye, Linda used a special mosaic eye shadow palette from the new Heidi Klum Very Sexy Collection .
Step 4:Lastly, for a jaw-dropping red lip, Linda lined Heidi’s lips with Very Sexy Lip Liner in Red Light, and topped it with Very Sexy Perfect Lipstick in Don’t Stop.

New Product Alert: Victoria's Secret Beauty Secret Garden Collection

Technically, this isn't exactly about new products, but Victoria's Secret Beauty is re-launching its Secret Garden collection with new packaging and new formulas. This line of bath and body products is an old cult favorite that feels great on your skin and smells amazing. In fact, VS sells over 68 million products annually! There's a new scent involved in the re-launch, too; it's called Blossoming Romance. Excited yet?

The Secret Garden collection is made up of ten fruity, floral and spicy scents in eight different botanically-based formulas to soften, smooth, and pamper your skin. The formulas include Body Lotion, Body Splash, Body Scrub, Hairspray, Shampoo/Conditioner, Bath Bubbles, Eau de Toilette Spray and Hand & Body Cream.

How To: Get Heidi and Marisa's Twinsie Makeup Look

Last week we showed you pictures from the new Victoria's Secret Bra Launch. It's uncanny how much models Heidi Klum and Marisa Miller looked alike just by using similar makeup colors and tweaking their highlights. I asked you if you and your BFF wear your hair and makeup the same way and while 55% of you said that you don't, 36% of you said that you do share a few of your beauty looks with friends.

I've found out exactly what these gorgeous gals have gone on. Both of their makeup is from Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Makeup Collection. And although it looks like they are wearing identical makeup, there are actually some slight differences in colors. To Apply:
This is a great evening look so be sure to start off with a flawless face. Apply your concealer, then mix a little bit of shimmer or highlighter into your foundation and apply evenly. Next, sweep your bronzer on the areas of your face where the sun would normally hit it. You can go a little heavier on the bronzer than normal for this look, but remember: you want to look sun-kissed, not orange. Next, apply your blush.

Your eyes are intended to be the focal point for this look, so opt for a dark liner and false eyelashes. Lastly, apply your lip gloss either alone or over your favorite nude lipstick. No lipliner is necessary. Now that you are finished, don't be surprised if people think you're the long-lost triplet!

The collection consists of three different bath and body products in three different scents aimed at gals of all ages. These treats smell amazing and they feel great on your skin, too. The scents are Fruity & Bright (a combination of blackberry and vanilla), Clean & Fresh (a citrus and floral mix made of apple and lily) and Sweet & Tart (a tasty and tangy blend of sugar and grapefruit).

The bath and body products are priced to entice you into buying two at a time:

All-Over Body Mist ($15 individually or 2/$20) is an aloe and chamomile infused body spritz with a subtle scent that also lightly moisturizes with skin.
All-Over Body Lotion ($12 or $2/20) is a Vitamin E- and C-infused body cream that hydrates and softens skin.
PINK On A Rope Sudsy Soap ($10 or $2/20) is a bar soap that comes in the shape of a dog bone (I get it because of the dog theme, but that's kind of weird, don'tcha think?) that conditions, cleanses and hydrates your skin.

Model of the Week: Britt Koth

Welcome back to Model of the Week. This Wednesday, we are taking a closer look at doe-eyed Britt Koth, who you may remember as the devout Christian on MTV’s "8th & Ocean." Koth is a 21-year old from Kansas City, MO, who hails from a very large family. She has nine siblings - four brothers and five sisters - six of whom were adopted from around the world.

She was discovered at age 16, when her mothered entered her in a Kansas City modeling contest. Koth quickly signed with a local agency, where she modeled for a few years before moving to Miami to sign with Irene Marie Management Group.

You may recognize her from her photos in Seventeen, Teen Vogue, Teen People, and Ocean Drive, as well as ad campaigns for Buckle, Roxy, Delia’s, Chevrolet, and Quiksilver. Fittingly, Koth loves makeup and going to the beach, and she also spends time hiking, camping, fishing, and reading. BELLASUGAR: What is your secret to beautiful skin and hair?

BRITT KOTH: For my hair, I love Aveda products, and I try to do a deep conditioner at least one time each month. For my skin, I drink lots of water, and I use Neutrogena's face lotion and face wash every day.

BELLA: What is the one product that you can't live without?

BK: Victoria Secret Very Sexy Makeup Lip Gloss. I love it.

BELLA: What is your guilty pleasure?

BK: Chocolate...definitely chocolate

BELLA: What are your favorite drugstore products?

BK: Maybelline Great Lash Mascara has always been my favorite drug store product. Oh, and also Bonne Belle's Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker!

Victoria's Secret Launches Secret Embrace and BellaSugar Was There!

Yesterday I was lucky enough to attend the exciting Victoria’s Secret launch for their Five New Secret Embrace Bras. The event took place at the huge two-floor VS store in NYC where four of the gorgeous Victoria's Secret Angels, Karolina Kurkova, Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart, and Selita Ebanks, were in attendance.

Not only did I get to meet the models, but also I was able to speak with each of them one on one. Talk about nerve racking! However, once I got started I realized that I had no reason to be intimidated - these women were nothing but sweet, articulate and professional.

The event began with a photo op of the models in their designated colors followed by a move upstairs where interviews and autograph signings took place. It ended with a song, strawberry cake and champagne, in celebration of Karolina Kurkova's birthday.

The bras range in price from $42-$51 and after feeling them, I can't wait to get one. You may remember me mentioning it in my recent post about Oscars swag, but if not, they are one single piece of fabric that is: seam free, tag free and stitch free. When they are on, they look and feel invisible.

The bras are currently available in stores and online in an assortment of Spring colors in sizes 32A-38DD, depending on style and color.

A Little Insight Into Oscars Swag

So this is what it's like to be rich and famous: lots of free stuff to make you look even more beautiful! For the sixth year in a row, Victoria's Secret generously gave away a $7,500 gift to all of the Best Actress Oscar nominees.

The gift included an Angels Secret Embrace Strapless Bra, $45, and Very Sexy Diamond Collection Lip Gloss adorned with diamonds and pink sapphires. It was presented to them in a lavish, black leather train case, embossed with their name and upholstered in pink satin.

Since this lip gloss line is not scheduled to launch to the public until April, this elite group of ladies was the first to wear this new gloss infused with genuine crushed diamonds on the red carpet. The gloss is ornamented with a sparkling, pink sapphire “VS” charm, weighing 0.3 carats that can detach from the lip gloss and fasten to the necklace.
