Jun 5 2009 - 10:00am In April, I mentioned that my friends Liz and Dave would be tying the knot in Boston. I'm happy to report that the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch, and the newlyweds are off on their honeymoon. The bride already knew how she'd be
wearing her makeup, and her hair was styled in a classic looped bun.

Aw, cute idea for the "something blue"! My "something blue" was actually part of my dress...the top half of my dress had pale, pale peach and pale, pale blue french knots. But I wish I thought of the nail polish thing!

That was an extremely unique and classy idea for "something blue"! I still adore my deep blue polish from Chanel, which I still tend to use. How fun that she used such a beautiful color. I, on the other hand, had blue in my garter belt, which is much more traditional. Way to go!

7I'm not too huge of a fan of the blue polish - it makes you look like a corpse! To each her own, I suppose...

10I am getting married in Hawaii so I am carrying my mom's "Kona Kitchens" cookbook as my something old and my something blue (the title is turquoise).
11My bridesmaids bought me D&G "Light Blue" perfume a few days before the wedding so I'd have something blue... I thought that was such a thoughtful gift! Not to mention that my husband loves the smell.

13My husband & I got married in the goalie crease at a hockey arena (this goes along with all of our courtship & was the PERFECT wedding for us) He is Canadian & I am American & he wore a Team Canada hockey jersey and I wore a Team USA hockey jersey-- so my "something blue" was my dark blue jersey!
