Leave it to an alumna of The Hills to sport at least one braid in her hairstyle. This time, instead of the side-plait that we couldn't seem to get enough of, it's all about the pulled-back, headband-esque braid. As for her makeup, she chooses super pale tangerine lips and gold shadow on the inner v's. Since her LA to NYC move earlier this year, has Whitney's style become more urban and less California girl? Whitney Port Gets Some PlantLove

Want a Port pout? Cargo is betting you do. The City's starring gossip girl is getting her own signature hot pink lipstick, called Eve Pinky, in the brand's PlantLove line of products. But this stick's not just about Whitney, lovely as she is; the shade also has a charitable side. For every tube of Eve Pinky sold, $2 goes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It's a cute shade, and an even better cause - one I wouldn't mind parting with a few hard-earned dollars for. So be on the lookout for it - Eve Pinky is available at Sephora starting this week.

Reality star Whitney Port is known for her likable personality and sense of fashion. She, was, after all an "employee" of Diane von Furstenberg's design house, and has been rumored to be back with Kelly Cutrone at People's Revolution. On the beauty front, she's also known for her eye-catching looks, from her wrapped ponytail to her trendy multitoned hair color. As you know, I'm a proponent of makeup shade experimentation, and over the weekend while attending a Swim Show Afterparty in Miami, Whitney pulled out all the stops, wearing this bright, punchy coral-pink hue. While it appears that she prefers to keep her shade choices in the same color family, she plays around with the intensities and finishes. So tell me - which pretty-in-pink shade works best for this city girl?

Love Whitney Port's Hair? Get Tips From Her Stylist

You might remember my interview with celebrity hair colorist Johnny Ramirez, who has styled the likes of Victoria Beckham, Kirsten Dunst, Ellen Pompeo, and Amber Valetta - just to name a few. Also among his celebrity clientele? Whitney Port, the cordial, soft-spoken, lanky blonde from MTV's The City.

Whitney will soon have an old friend in New York, as Ramirez, who works at the famed Chris McMillan Salon in LA, is about to go bi-coastal. The first week of each month, the talented colorist will also be waving his magic color wand at Serge Normant at John Frieda in Manhattan. Check out what he had to say about Whitney's hair color, along with tips on preventing hair color from fading when you read more.

If you like Whitney's hair, but a trip to NYC or LA is not in the cards for you, Ramirez has advice for achieving her multidimensional hues that you can take to your colorist. It's even recession-friendly, too.

To start: Whitney's hair color is light brown/dark blond near the top, and it fades into a light blond towards the end. To get the look, "grow out as much of your roots as you can," Ramirez advises. "I know it will be a little bit of a process, but focus on keeping it really soft and natural at the top. . . Have very minimal highlights at the top, and keep the ends light," he advised. "It's very low-maintenance."
Multidimension: When she first started The Hills, Ramirez says, Whitney's blond hair lacked depth, which washed her out. And now, "It's beautiful, healthy, and it looks natural," he says. "I saw baby pictures of her. It's exactly what she had when she was a kid."
Layer it up: Ramirez advises using a toner and gloss to keep the color from fading. "After about two to three weeks, the gloss starts fading away," he says. "Then, about two to three weeks after that, the toner starts fading away." By the time his clients come to see him again, their color still looks fresh. "It's time-consuming, but it really stays," he adds.
Refresh: "Stop by [your salon] in between hair visits for a gloss," he said. This keeps the color rich, and it's cheaper than a full color treatment.

Fight the Cold With a Whitney Port-Inspired Floral Headband

These frigid temperatures can mean an influx of static in the hair, causing locks to look like a science experiment in the laws of electricity. That's where stylish hats and headbands come into play.

On last night's episode of The City, I was digging Whitney Port's fun and functional knitted lilac headband with a floral touch. How-To: Whitney's Wrapped Ponytail From The City

It was the fourth episode of The City last night, and I'm still getting used to Whitney's new life in NYC - as I'm sure she is, too. As we all know, The Hills and The City are always good for some trendy hair, nail polish, and makeup shades, and after checking out last night's episode, "Good Things Come in Threes," I liked what I saw.

At Whitney's lavish apartment (seriously, how can she afford that?), she discussed her relationship with Jay, as Erin listened and dispensed advice. Miss Port's low-slung wrap-around ponytail was effortlessly stylish, and I've got some tips on recreating the look after the jump. This twisted pony is easier to achieve on day-old hair. If you need to rough up freshly washed hair, try a texturizing product like Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray ($23).
Gather hair in a low ponytail, securing with an elastic band. Leave some face framing pieces out.
Take about a half-inch to one-inch portion from the ponytail on each side, separating it from the rest of the ponytail. You will have three strands (one small chunk on the left, the main ponytail, and one small chunk from the right).
Taking the small chunk from the left, wrap it around the entire ponytail, creating a ropelike effect. Secure the end with an elastic band and twist the ponytail up to the nape of your neck, holding it in place with bobby pins.
Next, take the small chunk from the right and wrap it around the base of the ponytail. Tuck any loose hair in, and secure with bobby pins to finish. And you'll be a city girl, through and through.
