Jessica Alba, Taylor Momsen and Lindsay Lohan made up the starlet contingent out at Fashion Week events in NYC last night. Jessica shined in her sexy black dress at the Narciso Rodriguez show in Bryant Park while Lindsay and Taylor were matching blondes in the front row at G-Star's Hammerstein Ballroom presentation. Taylor's edgy look works well when she's rocking out on stage with her band, but on Gossip Girl Jenny Humphrey's already over her first rebellious phase.

Even though it's hot out, I can't seem to keep my hands — or wallet — away from the Fall goodies in stores. Perhaps it's a consequence of those Fall glimpses. In the past two days, I purchased a semisheer black sweater, a thin dolman-sleeve cardi, and a nubby funnel neck scarf.

Yesterday the fashion pack flew out to Venice where Karl Lagerfeld staged the Chanel Cruise show on the beach. Of course there was a reason for the Italian location as Karl was inspired by classic Venetian glamour of the '30s with rich Renaissance fabrics and Fortuny's prints. He commented on the location explaining, “Venice has a genuine dark and mysterious side to it that fascinated me.

Japan, known for its fashion-forward thinking and avant garde designs, is a mecca for the fearless. It should come as no surprise that its Fall Fashion Week shouldn't be any different. So far, we've spotted a ton of talent on the runway ranging from rock star frocks from G.V.G.V.

Sometimes runway looks are really extreme, and don't always translate well into the mainstream — as evidenced by this hits and misses slideshow. Well, it seems its appearance might not be as innocent as you think as an investigation by The Times discovered that some designers are being funded by major fur companies. Danish fur giants Saga Fur and Kopenhagen fur are involved in this scheme to encourage use of the animal fabric in catwalk collections in return for thousands of pounds of sponsorship.

LA Fashion Week is a lot smaller than say New York or Paris, but don't be fooled by its diminutive size. We spotted some fabulous collections overflowing with cutting-edge design and artistry. From Grecian gowns to Rick Owens-inspired jackets, LA had lots.

When you imagine orange on the face you might cringe a little, thinking of unflattering Oompa-Loompa-like effects. But you might be surprised that orange blush can give a flattering sun-kissed look that's fresh, not gaudy. Seeing that many designers featured the shade during 2009 Spring New York Fashion Week, I predicted that orange blush would be a trend during the upcoming warmer months.

Paris Fashion Week closed with a bang on Thursday with presentations by Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu. The younger sister of Prada seemed to come of age this season with an exotic themed collection. There was a very glamorous feel to the Autumn line with sleek silhouettes, pencil skirts and sparkly embellishment.
