Lara Stone was announced as the face of Prada's new fragrance campaign yesterday. It's so exciting! The beauty is already fronting Jaeger's Spring campaign and is going from strength to strength. She's not the only new face on the beauty scene. There's a whole new generation of starlets fronting beauty campaigns for 2010, from the new crop at Rimmel that includes Coco Rocha and Beyonce's sister Solange, to Julia Roberts who recently took the helm at Lancôme. Beauty Byte: Julia Robert's First Lancôme Ad Video

Here's a Tuesday morning treat for you girls! Lancôme just unveiled its latest video ad with Julia Roberts, featuring the hotly anticipated Hypnôse Precious Cells Mascara (£22) which is due for launch in the UK next month.

The first ad for the product just launched last week on French shores, but this new extended version features Julia laughing, smiling and being photographed among lingering close-ups and atmospheric music. It's like a behind-the-scenes montage of a glamorous photo shoot. Julia, even aged 42, is also looking fabulous! Take a look at the video and let me know what you think?

New Product Alert: Lancôme Hypnôse Precious Cells Mascara

Beauty Bloggers are in a frenzy about Lancôme's new Hypnôse Precious Cells Mascara this week. Harrods already has a waiting list! The a high-tech product is said to have a dual function as lash stimulant and thickening mascara. After 28 days of use, the brand promise that the product's patented Lash Densifier Complex will leave lashes regenerated and visibly denser. The mascara (£22) comes out on 28th March exclusively at Harrods and will be available nationwide from May 1st.

I was excited to hear about this because the beauty world seems to have become hooked on the idea of lash stimulants and lash growing serums. More recently, hybrid lash enhancing mascaras have been developed. Space NK just launched Enormous Lash, an eyelash enhancing serum and conditioner. Revitalash (£95) and Smashbox Lash DNA mascara (£16.20) are both launching at Debenhams. There's also a new US eyelash product called Lattice that includes a drug used to treat glaucoma. It's undergoing clinical trials to launch in the UK soon, according to The Times .

Lancôme's Hypnôse Precious Cells Mascara apparently works by revitalising stem cells at the root of eyelashes, strengthening the lashes and also preventing older ones from falling out. It contains Madecassoside, an extract of Centella Asiatica, that is found in some anti hair loss products. It also contains Argine, an amino acid that improves lash condition and Malus Domestica, an apple plant extract which helps to restore lash root stem cell areas to encourage growth.

I've been using it for a couple of days and it's certainly a great mascara. My lashes look long, thick and luscious. It has boosted my lashes significantly or not, is difficult to tell. You'll have to stay tuned for updates! Would you use a lash enhancer?

It's been three months since Lancôme tapped Julia Roberts as its newest spokeswoman. Now, Julia's famous smile is making its debut for the beauty brand. This just-launched French television ad features Julia wearing Lancôme's forthcoming European-market mascara, Hypnôse Precious Cells. (You might want to dust off your français to understand every word.) What's your take on Julia's first Lancôme campaign?

Can You Help Find Chris Benz's Twin?

New Product Alert: Lancôme 10th Anniversary Juicy Tubes

Ever since they first launched in 2000 I've been hooked on Lancôme's Juicy Tubes, so I was excited to see they are launching a new range to celebrate their 10th anniversary. The special limited edition range has been designed by Japanese Artist Yayoi Kusama and is set to go on sale exclusively at Debenhams on April 1st (£10).

The new collection includes Pop Art Hazelnut, Happy Honey, Rose Blossom, Dot Apricot, Crazy Raspberry and Swing Pink flavours, all decorated in Kusama's iconic quirky style. Lancôme has also updated its formula for the range. Each gloss is now 100 percent natural, made with shea butter and honey to hydrate, and coloured and fragranced using only natural components.

I managed to get my hands on samples this week and I have to say, I'm already in love. Kusama' designs are fun and graphic with little hand drawn flowers and butterflies to decorate. The glosses themselves have a much more subtle scent than the original Juicy Tubes because they're naturally fragranced, which I actually like, and the new formula is also great. They leave my lips shiny and moisturised.

Chris Benz Wants to Help Pack Your Bags

In an alternate universe, designer Chris Benz and I are best buds. We sit around drinking coffee while talking about how underrated 764-HERO was, and whenever I look schlubby, he loans me a beautiful piece from his next collection.

Sadly, we do not live in that universe. Fortunately, the one we do live in is filled with Benz-y beauty goodness. Last month saw the launch of Chris & Tell, his lipstick collaboration with Lancome; the creamy coral shade sold out nationwide in a flash. Now, he's teamed up with Beauty.com to create a wee travel kit (it's free with a $100 purchase). The turquoise "suitcase" comes with luggage labels, so you can customize it to your heart's content. Inside, there's $130 worth of full-sized products and samples from brands such as Origins, Skyn Iceland, Murad, and Phyto. So until that alternate universe switches into reality, beauty goodies will have to fulfill my Chris Benz dreams.

2010 BAFTA Awards: Kate Winslet

Actress Kate Winslet is one of Britain's biggest and brightest stars. Tonight we see her decked out in a long black, body-con Stella McCartney dress with lace peep details on the sides, loose hair and pretty, makeup that makes her creamy skin glow.

Armand Beasely, head makeup artist for Lancôme created this soft cosmetics style tonight accenting Kate's lips the most with a pretty pink colour. What are your thoughts on her beauty style this evening?

Exclusive! Lancôme and the 2010 Orange BAFTA Awards

This year marks the tenth anniversary between the Orange BAFTA Awards and Lancôme, and this year, I was lucky enough again to be invited to the Dorchester Hotel where they hosted a suite. Inside, I spoke with lead makeup artist Armand Beasley about his trend forecast for the show, I checked out some of the brand's newest launches, learnt a trick or two about applying false lashes, and got a lesson on how to create perfect brows (but more on that later)!

For now, one of the most exciting products available is a Swarovski encrusted BAFTA cheek palette (£45). There are only 100 compacts for sale at Selfridges in London, so if you like what you see, hurry up and act fast! Additionally, Lancôme is about to release six new Juicy Tubes (£10) that are not only made from natural ingredients, but they contain shea butter and honey for a smoother, less sticky effect. The polka-dot packaging is designed by Japanese artist Yayoi Kasuma - a fun collaboration that Lancôme is super excited about!

What trends can we expect to see on the red carpet? Eyebrows will be big. I predict a 1940s look that is sharper than what we're seeing now. Think Lauren Bacall or Katharine Hepburn. You can also expect to see either red lips or nude lips for this year.
What advice do you give celebrities before big events? I tell them that if they plan to show a lot of skin that it's important to exfoliate.

Fall 2010 New York Fashion Week: Chris Benz

If you remain unconvinced that the '90s are upon us once again, look no further than the makeup at Chris Benz's presentation. "Chris was inspired by girls he grew up with in Seattle," makeup artist Daniel Martin said of the show's makeup inspiration. "We wanted to bring brown lipstick back."

To do so, Martin did a little backstage MacGyvering. To get a gothic-chic look, he used Lancome Le Crayon Poudre brow pencil in Sable as a lip liner. From there, he applied Lancome Color Design matte lipstick in Bronze Show. (It's out next month at Macy's.) To create a fuller look, he dabbed a bit of Juicy Tubes gloss in Hallucination on the center of the bottom lip.

While puttering around backstage, I tried out the forthcoming Lancome Ombre Magnétique eye shadow. It has a unique texture, much like a mousse but not as whipped and creamy. It's impressive stuff, able to deliver subtle sparkle that stays put. We have to wait until July to try it out for ourselves, but as you can see, it looked great at the show.
