Even if you’re not typically a coral kind of gal, trust me when I say that you’ll love the way they look with a little bit of mascara and some bronzer in the summertime. Coral has that je ne sais quoi to make tanned skin look all the more radiant. Below are my favorite coral lipsticks, They are a little deeper than peach lipgloss without being overly orange. As soon as I laid my eyes on this Stila Convertible Eye Color ($20), I knew it was special. Not only do I appreciate the value of a two-in-one product (and in this case, a three-in-one product), but it also takes the guesswork out of coordinating your eye-makeup colors. One side of the wand contains a pencil eyeliner, the middle section unscrews to reveal a shimmery powder eye shadow (in the same color family), and at the other end is a plush smudging tip. In a nutshell, it's fast, fabulous, and fool-proof.

The pigment in the eyeliner is rich, dark, long lasting, and the eye shadow blends easily. It's perfect for your pocketbook or for travel because you don't even need to use a brush — it comes with a ready-to-use compact applicator tip.

The darker colors create an easy-to-achieve smoky eye and the lighter colors are a great way to add a sexy touch of twinkle. That being said, the one minor downfall is that you really have to scrub to get the liner to come off. Even when I used makeup remover, I could still see traces of eyeliner under my eyes.

Despite the heat in New York yesterday, model-turned-actress Molly Sims struck a few flirtatious poses with a cool cocktail at the National Survey of American Cocktail Culture event.

I absolutely love her laid-back Summer braids and her raisin-hued eye shadow. Molly has light hazel eyes, and as we know, purples really make green eyes pop. Since this is a festive daytime look, you don't want to wear too much makeup on your skin. I've gathered a bunch of great product suggestions below for those of you that want to re-create this look on your own.

FACE: Start by applying a creamy concealer to any red or dark areas and follow with a lightweight creamy foundation with a touch of shimmer. Last Summer, we featured scores of SPF-enhanced tinted moisturizers, and a year later there's a new gaggle of goodies to explore! What I love about tinted moisturizers is that they serve three purposes. They simplify your prep time, since they act as a foundation and a moisturizer; they offer SPF so now you don't have to apply (or worry about) sun protection; and they help even out your skin tone. Below are three SPF tinted moisturizers that I'll think you'll fall madly in love with this Summer.

Just a few weeks ago Chanel launched Hydramax + Active Tinted Lotion SPF 15 ($55), a great alternative to wearing foundation in the heat of the Summer sun. It contains UVA and UVB protection while providing even coverage, a non-greasy feel and a healthy, radiant, almost dewy finish on my skin. I use #15 Sunlit (the medium shade out of the three) and not only do I find it moisturizing and extremely blendable, but I also really like the sweet scent.

La Mer has created The SPF 18 Fluid Tint ($65) in three shades of light, medium, and dark. It's moisturizing, it absorbs quickly, the formula is water-based so it's not oily whatsoever, it contains UVA and UVB protection, plus it's made with crushed gemstones (tourmaline and Brazilian malachite), so it helps give skin a radiant glow.

Bellissima! Stila Silk Eye Shadow Wash

Stila has decided to expand its popular Kitten powder eye shadow into an empire with the release of a cream shadow called Silk Eye Shadow Wash ($22). The super-long tube (1.1 oz) gets applied with a doe-foot applicator as a liquid form, and it dries to a powdery, crease-free finish.

I love that this shadow is so versatile. I like wearing it as a highlighter beneath my brow-bone and dotted on top of my cheekbones, nose and forehead, but it's also stunning as an all-over lid color. Tip: stick with either wearing it on your face or on your eyes — too much glow in any gal winds up looking more cheap than chic.

The shadow is formulated with proteins and since it's water-based, it glides on smooth and dries quickly. The color is rich and shimmery and it blends easily, but be warned that a little goes a long way. It spreads rapidly, so I recommend starting out with a gentle stroke and then adding more as needed.

The golden-pinky hue suits all skin tones. Funnily enough, I'm such a lover of champagne shadows that I've noticed the color is identical to Laura Mercier's Metallic Crème Eye Colour in Platinum (too bad they are also the same price, or this could have been a real bargain). I've grown to love this version of Kitten even more than my powder pan shadow (that's saying a lot!) and I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes the next cult classic. Beauty Byte: Stila To Release Marchesa Palette

If you liked Marchesa's fall 2008 makeup, you'll love this news: WWD reports that Stila and the designers are teaming up to create a cosmetics collection this fall. The colors will reflect the runway look, with three eye shadow and eyeliner palettes ($40 each). Faux leather rosettes close the palettes, which will come in handy if the rosette trend is still going strong. In addition to the limited-edition palettes, three lipstick shades will be added to the permanent collection.

I'm excited about the colors, since everything on the runway was so beautiful and fresh. And considering the fact that Stila's eye shadows are $18 each, it's a decent value — just as long as the shadows themselves aren't as tiny as its latest palette pans. We already know that Stila just raised its prices, but I hope they're not making the shadow pans small again.

New Product Alert: Stila SPF 20 Shine Lip Color

Stila has just introduced a creamy, sheer, and glossy lip product called Stila SPF 20 Shine Lip Color ($22). These moisturizing lipsticks are formulated with vitamins A, C, E, vegetable oil and antioxidants to provide a rich texture with a lightweight feel.

They have a faint sweet vanilla scent and come packaged in a slim silver case with flower vines etched into the tube — and in true Stila lip color form, the shades are named after women. My favorite of the group is Chelsea, a fruit-punch coral color packed with shimmer and shine.

At first glance, the eight available shades seem bright and intimidating, but actually, they come off much more tame when applied to your lips. Also, I love that they contain SPF 20. Now you can look pretty and protect your skin at the beach, at the park, or at any other outdoor place. Chelsea is definitely going to become my beach bag must-have this summer. Ever since seeing Dita Von Teese in a feathered Marchesa dress, I've been amazed by the intricate beauty of the designers' creations. There's an elegant extravagance to their creations, balancing luxury and refinement. At last week's show, the hair and makeup teams created a simple and flawless look for the models, and because it's something that anybody can wear, I thought I'd share a few tips.

A team of stylists from Rita Hazan Salon wrapped the models' hair into simple ballerina bun. "It's very simple and easy," said stylist Juan Carlos. Nothing is too fussy—hair is just slightly teased a little bit to create a little flyaway and softness so the hair can flow as the girls walk. The bun is more or less a classic ballerina, but in an undone way."

Beauty Byte: Stila Raising Prices?

With murmurs of a recession and increasing prices being the talk of economists these days, I thought I'd point out a little bit of not-so-thrilling news. Looks like Stila is raising its prices a bit, which makes me feel old because I remember when its eye shadows were $14. Now they've gone from $16 to $18 on Stilacosmetics.com — and a few other products, such as Lip Glaze, are nudging up a few bucks as well.

The good part: The prices haven't jumped everywhere yet. I'm not sure if this bump is going on in stores as well, but the change hasn't happened on Sephora.com or Ulta.com — so if you've been meaning to stock up on a bunch of products, choose your shopping website wisely. Additionally, Stila's own site is having a Winter sale and Ulta has a bargain-priced best-of set.

Stila has some good things cooking for spring, and they're slowly starting to trickle out. I'm eagerly awaiting a preview package so I can test the new items (and of course, I'll share my findings with you). But for now, here's the scoop.

The most exciting news is that Stila is introducing eye shadow duos ($20), placing two shades in one split pan. All of the 28 (!) shades are new, and they're in addition to the existing eye shadows. These shadows have been reformulated: they have micronized powder pigments and pearl to go on more smoothly, and a silicone-based binding system helps them blend better. Six of the 14 duos are available to Sephora Beauty Insiders right now, and the rest of the colors will be out in February.

2007 Sugar Awards: Best Eye Shadow

Wow, MAC certainly swept the Best Eye Shadow category. Its shadows garnered a full third of votes, probably due to its ability to, as Hemlyn puts it, "blend like a dream." I noticed a lot of write-in votes for Urban Decay, too, pointing out its amazing color choices.

My favorite shadow of the year is Stila Kitten. (That particular shade got a few write-in votes, too.) This shimmery pinky-champagne shadow is a cult favorite, and justly so. It's a great base color, it blends well, and it lasts all day. And if you dab a bit on the inner corner of your eye, it just makes you look more alert and awake. Just gorgeous!

New Product Alert: Stila Summer Eye Shadow Trios

Just when I think I've seen about every possible way to cram three eye-shadow colors into one case, Stila comes out with this very cool medallion that looks like it belongs on a Mayan ruin. These three limited-edition Eye Shadow Trios ($32 each) are from Stila's just-released summer makeup collection, which takes its inspiration from the colors of the Mexican Riviera.

Each shadow features three concentric circles with a base, crease, and liner color. The Vallarta shade (bottom left) is a shimmery mix of soft pink, mauve, and pinkish bronze, while the more neutral Mazatlan (bottom right) uses sandy bronzes and browns. My favorite — though I'm not sure how it would look on me — is the Acapulco, with its bright leaf green and deep brown. Which one would you buy?

Challenge #7 in the Beauty Junkies Group was to find your favorite eye makeup remover. Personally, I love using the pads because they are mess free, easy to travel with and they save you a step when you're taking off your makeup! Here are three gentle eye makeup remover pads that I think you'll like just as much as I do.

It looks like atoxicsparkle is also a fan of these super gentle Neutrogena® Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes, $8 - aren't they fab! What I like best about them is that they don't irritate my eyes and the pads are very soft on your skin. They completely remove all traces of makeup and grime and leave my face feeling really good.

Cosmetics companies are in full Spring mode. That means, flowers, showers, bronzers and lots of new colors. Since the post about Clinique's Fresh Bloom Collection was such a big hit, I thought that you would enjoy a new series on pretty Spring makeup embossed with flowers.

Now we can stock up and experiment more since we're paying less! Here's a look at some of the less expensive versions of designer originals.
