The other day, I tweeted about the awesome sale Ikea was having on some of its fabric. We're talking 99 cents a yard here, people! That is really, really cheap.

This was so simple to whip up tonight. Seriously, between ironing, measuring, and sewing, it took maybe 20 minutes.

I spotted this table at a "Daily Garage Sale" where one of our local storage units puts all of their abandoned units "stuff" on display under a tent in lieu of public auctions. I happened to find this adorable table amongst other chairs, tables and cabinets. I thought to myself FIVE DOLLARS!?

I recently bought a dresser off of Craigslist to use in my soon-to-arrive babe's nursery. The dresser is solid oak, over 100 years old, and in great shape. However, I'm looking to add a little oomph to the dresser's look.

Moving in to my new apartment I realized that I needed a space for my gazillion wine glasses ( I swear when you're in your 20s this must be like the default gift for people!). Well in searching for a solution I came up with this; an old soda crate turned into wine storage, and easily! I just took some vintage soda crates my mom has and bought an under the cabinet wine rack, installed it, and voila.

I've long been a fan of DIY treatments, particularly when they involve cheap and readily available ingredients straight from the kitchen. We've already seen one brave Bella take on going au naturel, but what does a hair and scalp expert have to say about the effectiveness of several at-home remedies? That's just what trichologist, aka scientist who studies the hair and the scalp, Philip Kingsley has explored for the Daily Mail.

I'm getting excited for the big game and I decided to schedule a buffalo wing practice run. It's my first time making wings from scratch, so I skipped the grocery aisle in favor of some quality time with my local butcher. Rather than waiting for him to break down the wings, I asked the butcher to show me how to cut up the chicken wings myself.

I felt in the morning I wanted an area that awakened our family's senses visually. So I decided to do a bubble dream mural of orange, purple, royal blue, periwinkle and silver. Plus it helps my 17-month-old daughter recite her colors in a fun way while eating her oatmeal!!!
Have you done any DIY projects lately?

This weekend, why not tackle a bigger project, like this cool bench? If that's a little too ambitious, I've also found some mellower DIYs for your crafting pleasure.
