OMFG! Blow, Booze, and Threesomes on Gossip Girl

You know what the Parents Television Council doesn't like? Threesomes. Implicit or explicit, it says there's no place for a ménage à trois on network TV. Fair enough! The council has asked The CW to reconsider airing Monday's Gossip Girl episode, which will feature a threesome.

After an US Weekly interview about the sartorial splendor Gossip Girl, Costume Designer Eric Daman took a jab at the controversy while talking to New York magazine's Daily Intel. He made a very valid point, saying:

"So, it’s okay for them to be doing blow and drinking Scotch when they’re 18, but it’s not okay for them to be having a threesome?"

I can't really argue with that! About a quarter of TrèsSugar readers have had a threesome, which sounds about right to me. In my experience, teen drinking is more about taking your vodka messy in Gatorade bottles rather than neat in martini glasses - forget thinking about threesomes! So while the Parents Television Council can take their argument to the network that brought us OMFG, I'd have to say GFL! What say you?

Three's a Controversial Crowd on Gossip Girl!

Here's some Friday manjoyment for you - those Gossip Girl guys were spotted filming alongside their musically talented costar Leighton Meester this week. Ed Westwick looked rather handsome in his brown leather jacket as he picked up something to eat, while in a different part of New York Chace Crawford was happy to have a couple of photos taken as he walked down the street. The show is currently causing some controversy due to an upcoming threesome storyline which the Parents' Television Council has said is not appropriate for the teenage audience - most fans are just wondering who's going to be involved in the plot! Say it ain't so, S and B! I doubt that Serena and Blair's friendship is actually over, but it'll probably take at least another 10 episodes before they reconcile. Everyone's on the outs these days, but at least they all look fabulous (Nate is at his cutest when he's brooding, no?). There were also a couple of big "mysteries" this episode, but the most mystifying thing to me was Serena's braid, though at least she did something different with her hair. So how are you doing? Was this episode mostly about extremely silly political stunts, or did you see it for the beauty gold mine it was?

Spotted: Leighton Meester Belts Out a Tune with Weezer!

Leighton Meester was glowing in her silky dress at the Library Lions benefit in New York last night, rocking smoky eyes and wavy hair. The Gossip Girl teamed up with Cobra Starship for the single "Good Girls Go Bad", has an album on the way, and on Halloween night Leighton made a surprise appearance on stage with Weezer in Manhattan! She looked very un-Blair Waldorf as she sang the bands latest single with frontman Rivers Cuomo in a black top and multicoloured trousers, and looks like she's pretty comfortable up on the stage. Rivers said:

"We invited her down, and she was in rehearsal - wait, did she even come to rehearsal? No, she didn't! We just worked on it in the dressing room right before the show. 'You sing this line, now I'll sing that line,' just like that. It's best when there's a little rehearsal, so that it can still feel spontaneous."
