The costume: Nicki Minaj
Looking for a Halloween costume that incorporates bright colors, larger-than-life makeup, and over-the-top outfits? Then Nicki Minaj may be the perfect look for you.
Hair and makeup: Pick a color, any color. Nicki always opts for a veritable rainbow of hues in both her hair and makeup. A fluorescent palette is best for your eyes and lips, and don't be afraid to mix and match. False eyelashes are a must, too. Nicki is best known for her blond and pink hair, so pick up a wig in either of those colors.
What to wear: Leopard print, leather, tutus . . . the world is your oyster when it comes to your Nicki costume. Slap on your highest heels, slink into a full-on bodysuit, or pull some neon fishnets out of the back of your closet. There really are no limits when it comes to this ensemble.
Take it to the next level: If you have to take your Nicki costume to the next level, you haven't finished it yet. Add more glitter.

In honor of the MTV Video Music Awards turning 30 this year, we're taking a look back at the most outrageous makeup and hairstyles over the past three decades. And needless to say, it was hard narrowing down the top contenders. Some of us remember Lil' Kim adorned with a seashell and a lavender wig; others might recall when Lady Gaga donned sideburns and dressed up as a man. Perhaps Justin Timberlake really had these ladies in mind when he sang, "Aren't you something, an original . . . " But which look was most memorable? Decide for yourself. In a follow-up move to her first fragrance, Nicki Minaj is slowly revealing the details of her second project, Minajesty, on Twitter. Last month, she tweeted a preview of the bottle, which bears Nicki's likeness wearing hot-pink waves, bubblegum lipstick, and a bustier. Then yesterday, she posted a shot of the ad campaign on Instagram, which shows Nicki decked out in a royal gown fit for a pink princess (Princess Peach, anyone?). Although the bottle is very similar to the original scent, Pink Friday, the notes are meant to exude a sexier aroma. Minajesty starts with a fruit basket of peach, lemon blossom, and red currant, then comes the floral layer of magnolia and orchid. It finishes with vanilla and white musk. Nicki's newest perfume will hit stores on Sept. 15, and products will range from $20 to $60.
It was the battle of the divas on the American Idol season 12 finale in LA last night, and we're not just talking about contestants Candice Glover and Kree Harrison facing off for the final time. Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey both took the stage to sing during the finale, with Mariah singing a medley of her biggest hits in a formfitting white gown and J Lo energetically performing "Live It Up" alongside Pitbull. Judges Keith Urban and Randy Jackson also got in on the action on stage, making Nicki Minaj the only judge who didn't do a performance of some kind. This all came hot on the heels of persistent rumors that Nicki won't return to Idol next year.
J Lo's American Idol show marks the first time she's returned to the program since she stepped down as a judge last year. There have been rumors that Jennifer may return to American Idol, and she said that she might consider making a comeback during an interview at the nuvoTV upfronts in NYC on Wednesday. Jennifer wasn't the only star who made a splash on Idol last night — Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert, and Taylor Hicks all returned to the show that gave them their start. The night ended on an emotional note when Glover was crowned the winner of American Idol.
