The Internet's been abuzz with talk about cosmetic brand Illamasqua's recent launch in the US. All the excitement about such high pigment colors got me wondering, though: how bright are you willing to go with your eye shadow? I have seen this new eyeshadow from Chanel all over the place! It's been in Lucky, Allure, various websites, etc. I have held off mentioning it because, frankly, the name threw me off a little bit.

Apparently, the people who name eye shadows and the ones who make up street drug slang have more in common than a love of powdered substances — their choice of words is eerily similar as well. While drug abuse isn't funny at all, some of the names the government has collected that are supposedly used to describe them are, and eye shadows are sounding downright wild, if not pornographic, lately. Can you tell which of these is a harmless cosmetic and which a hard street drug?

Designer and Project Runway judge Michael Kors is getting pretty with a new color cosmetics collection that's due in January. The makeup line, which was created in collaboration with Estée Lauder, is part of the Very Hollywood brand and is designed to be the makeup equivalent of Michael's recently released perfume. The collection comes in two palettes, a pink and a beige-coral, with complementary blushes, sheer lip "sheens," and eyeshadow kits for each.
